Pieter Abbeel receives ACM Prize in Computing

Pieter Abbeel, a CITRIS PI and UC Berkeley professor of electrical engineering and computer science, has received the 2022 Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Prize in Computing, for his groundbreaking research in robot learning, including robot learning from demonstrations and deep reinforcement learning for robotic control.

The ACM Prize in Computing honors early- to mid-career computer scientists whose work has had a profound impact on the field.
