Are inventors born or made? That’s the question posed by “Pathways to Invention,” an award-winning documentary that premiered May 1 on PBS stations nationwide. The 60-minute special follows eight “modern inventors of diverse backgrounds and their journeys as they develop life-changing innovations.”

Among them are UC Berkeley alumni Corten Singer and Tomás Vega, co-founders of assistive technology startup Augmental. Alongside former CITRIS staff member Chris Myers, they discuss the “priceless” role that the CITRIS Invention Lab played in their entrepreneurial journey.
