UC Davis launches Aggie Venture Accelerator

UC Davis has officially launched the Aggie Venture Accelerator (AVA), a four-month, cohort-based program that supports early-stage life science startups. It operates across both Sacramento and Davis, offering up to a $250,000 investment.

AVA is a new initiative from the UC Davis Innovation and Economic Development Office in partnership with The March Group, a thematic early-stage venture capital investor. AVA follows four pillars for success including structured programming, tailored mentorship and expert guidance, investment for momentum, and building networks and velocity.

Early stage startups seeking pre-seed to seed-funding are prioritized, along with strong founding teams with breakthrough technologies in biotechnology and the life sciences. All startups are welcome to apply, so long as they are prepared to integrate at UC Davis.

The deadline is May 18
