Sutardja Dai Hall, the headquarters building for CITRIS at UC Berkeley, has only been open for one year and has already won several awards. Among the awards are:
- 2009 Design Award for excellence in architectural and engineering design presented by PCI Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute "Best Schools" to SmithGroup, Inc. This was awarded for the GFRC Glass Fiber Reinforced Concrete Exterior/Interior panels
- 2009 Construction Management National Project Achievement Award Buildings, New Construction Project with Constructed Value Greater than $100 Million Sutardja Dai Hall – University of California, Berkeley, Harris & Associates. Top Construction Management award in the country greater than $100M from CMAA (Construction Management Association of America)
