SafelyYou, a startup grown from a 2015 CITRIS Seed Award, has received $43 million from a series C funding round led by Touring Capital.
The company develops technology to detect and prevent falls, the leading cause of injury for adults over 65 and an especially common risk for people with dementia. Using a combination of cameras and AI-enables sensors, SafelyYou’s platform detects when a person might be falling in real time and then notifies response staff so caregivers can take immediate action. The startup also employs the expertise of a remote clinical team to identify fall patterns and provide recommendations to reduce future risk.
SafelyYou received $40 million in its 2021 series B round.
