Brandie Nonnecke, founding director of the CITRIS Policy Lab, has been appointed to the board of the California Privacy Protection Agency (CPPA) by Robert Rivas, speaker of the California State Assembly.

“I’m honored to join the CPPA Board and deeply grateful to Speaker Rivas for this opportunity,” said Nonnecke. “California consumers have the right to protect their personal information, and the CPPA is at the forefront of this important work. I look forward to collaborating with my fellow board members and staff on impactful approaches to complex privacy issues arising from emerging technologies.”

The California Privacy Protection Agency is governed by a five-member board.
