CITRIS and the Banatao Institute are seeking applicants for a key staff position at the UC Berkeley headquarters, to help support the institution’s mission of advancing information technology research for the public good.
The events director will plan and execute a variety of single-campus, multicampus and partnered events at a high level of complexity and visibility.
Duties include:
- Overseeing short- and long-term planning for new and regular events, including research symposia, community-building events, student programs and donor outreach
- Evaluating and coordinating staffing needs
- Consulting with internal collaborators and external partners on event details
- Maintaining a detailed record of event budgets and logistics
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, experience in project management, advanced organizational skills, and strong interpersonal communication.
