Drones and remote sensors are now ubiquitous. Yet, the data they collect are often siloed: they are not findable, accessible, searchable, interoperable nor repeatable. This is perhaps a keystone challenge and one of the many barriers to sustained, transformative and convergent scientific innovation using these data.
As part of the Leading the Change Collaboration Series, CITRIS at UC Santa Cruz and partners are holding a one-day workshop at the UC Santa Cruz Silicon Valley campus to address the challenges associated with the massive amount of data that are being collected by drones and other remote sensing platforms.
The agenda includes a keynote address by CITRIS Director Alexandre Bayen, as well as panel sessions on drone mission planning, remote sensor data collection, field operations, security and privacy, and much more. UC Santa Cruz experts, research partners from other UC campuses and industry representatives are all welcome.
Registration is required.
