The climate system presents an array of scientific challenges. Additionally, there are demands to advance the frontiers of climate modeling. The consequences of a growing world population make it necessary that climate modeling provide a credible underpinning for enabling reliable predictions. This talk will examine prospects offered by recent development in climate modeling.
