This fall, CITRIS was honored to support the U.S. State Department’s 2023 TechWomen international mentorship program. Held in Washington D.C., Chicago and San Francisco, the cultural exchange program empowers emerging leaders to build business ties and strengthen their professional networks by engaging with preeminent U.S. women leaders in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The mentorships aim to encourage more women and girls to pursue STEM careers, allowing them to advance their work and benefit their communities.
CITRIS hosted the orientation session for the San Francisco at its UC Berkeley headquarters in September, offering workshops and breakout talks. CITRIS Innovation Hub Managing Director Jill Finlayson, who coordinated the orientation and several other activities for the program participants, also served as a mentor.
