CITRIS Health’s ACTIVATE team is working with Livingston Community Health, a non-profit, community-owned health center based in Livingston, CA, to launch a mobile care team that will provide vaccine outreach and administration, testing, follow-up care, and general COVID-19 public health guidance to the Central Valley community. This region, which is home to large numbers of immigrants, racial and ethnic minorities, and agricultural workers, has high COVID-19 rates and insufficient access to vaccinations and testing.
The program aims to increase access to COVID-19 vaccines, testing, and public health guidance amongst community members who are often left out of traditional systems of health care. The ACTIVATE team will evaluate the reach and consumer acceptance to ultimately serve as a model for other rural Central Valley clinics in nearby counties.
