CITRIS and the Banatao Institute and Berkeley Discovery have partnered with the Tech Europe Foundation (TEF) to strengthen collaboration between deep-tech research and innovation communities in the United States and Italy.
The partnership will connect researchers, students, entrepreneurs and investors working across fields including artificial intelligence, materials science, life sciences, electronics, photonics and quantum computing. Planned activities include TEF-funded research collaborations between UC Berkeley and Italian universities, personnel exchanges, and Demo Days in Milan and Berkeley.
CITRIS will also support TEF in developing programs focused on science commercialization and venture creation.
