CITRIS and the Banatao Institute have partnered with the UC Berkeley Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity to integrate cybersecurity into the CITRIS Workforce Innovation Program. The collaboration will establish a cybersecurity internship track and enrich cybersecurity skill-building and awareness in the other internship fields.

The partnership will allow the summer cohort to expand from 85 to 100 students, as program leaders emphasize creating an infrastructure of expertise to meet the growing prevalence of cyber attacks.

“Cybersecurity is vitally important as digital technology continues to evolve and expand into new areas,” says Camille Crittenden, executive director of CITRIS. “We’re glad to partner with CLTC to help more students at our four UC campuses develop their cybersecurity acumen and gain valuable work experience.”

Applications for the summer 2024 internship program are accepted on a rolling basis, available to UC Berkeley, UC Merced, UC Santa Cruz and UC Davis students.
