CITRIS @ Santa Cruz is proud to welcome the Cisco eSupport Content Development Project, the second collaborative internship program in the on-going Network Management and Operations Lab collaboration UCSC has with Cisco Systems, Inc. The eSupport Development Project is coming to UCSC from Wichita State, and will include up to several student interns, at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The interns will work with Cisco managers and UCSC faculty to develop content for Cisco’s online Small Business Support Community.
The internships will provide students with an opportunity to apply the concepts of their course work and gain hands-on experience working with Cisco products and troubleshooting customer questions. They will then write articles based on their findings, and publish them to the Cisco Small Business Support Community for use and reference by Cisco customers. They will use metrics to monitor and improve the effectiveness of their articles, and do research to develop a knowledge base for new Cisco products and services as they approach release to the public. We are excited to be able to offer this unique opportunity to our students, as it gives them a chance to hone their technical writing skills, work closely with a faculty member, as well as gain exposure to business practices and expectations in a professional environment.
