Building on UC Broadband: Policy Lab offers strategies to help UC close digital divide

High-speed broadband telecommunications access has become an essential technology to enable Californians to lead healthy, productive lives. Because of its technical capacity, extensive geographic footprint and deep ties to surrounding communities, the University of California (UC) can serve an important role in supporting broadband infrastructure development and helping the state to close the digital divide. 

With support from the University of California Office of the President, the CITRIS Policy Lab has released a report outlining four guiding strategies and corresponding recommendations UC should consider to improve digital equity.
