Shijia Pan

Shijia Pan is an assistant professor at the University of California, Merced. She earned her Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, specializing in ubiquitous computing and the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT), with a focus on smart health applications.

Her interdisciplinary research spans multiple fields, with publications in top-tier Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and IEEE computer science conferences as well as high-impact civil engineering journals. She has received a University of California Hellman Fellowship, a place in the Rising Stars in EECS intensive workshop, a Google Anita Borg Scholarship, and best paper, poster and demo awards from multiple ACM and IEEE conferences.

Research interests: ubiquitous computing, Internet of Things (IoT), AI for IoT, smart health, cyberphysical systems.
