David M. Rocke is a distinguished professor in biostatistics at UC Davis School of Medicine and the Department of Applied Science. He also was a former co-director of the Institute for Data Analysis and Visualization at UC Davis. Rocke’s research interests lie in statistical analysis of gene expression data, statistical analysis of proteomics data by mass, spectrometry and 2D gel electrophoresis, statistical analysis of metabolomics data by mass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy, statistical analysis of other high-throughput biological assay data, analysis of massive data sets, and robust statistical methods. He also studies formal models in international relations and applications of statistics in medicine, epidemiology, biology, environmental science, and earth sciences.
