George Rehm was a founding partner of Aeris Capital AG, financial advisor to the foundation established by SAP founder Klaus Tschira. At Aeris, he established its health care investment strategy, including venture, private equity and hedge fund investments. In this capacity he held board or observer positions at Crescendo Biosciences, Adamas Pharmaceuticals, Ion Torrent, Genome Dx, Butterfly Networks, Hyperfine Research, QuantumSi, PFS Genomics, Jiff and TTTech AG.
He is currently senior mentor to the Bakar Labs and Bakar BioEngenuity Hub. He is a board member at Artera AI, Inkspace Imaging and Respond Health, and a member of the Strategic Advisory Council at Revalisio Health, iSono Health, Vizma and Kembi Therapeutics.
Prior to joining Aeris in 2004, he was engaged for over 20 years as a lawyer and executive in international licensing, technology transfer and investment, and privatization transactions in the U.S., Europe and Asia, establishing law offices in former East Germany, the Czech Republic and Russia. He received his B.S. in foreign service from Georgetown University, completing his legal studies at UC Law San Francisco and Berkeley Law, in parallel to graduate studies in city planning at UC Berkeley. In addition to his professional activities, Rehm is active as a board member and supporter of the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies at UC Law San Francisco and the Bay Area Book Festival.
