Fred Reid is an experienced global leader, executive and board director with experience in the financial, operational and commercial aspects of airline transportation, hotel, food and beverage, and business services industries. He has served as an executive with two prominent tech startups in Silicon Valley and has served on an array of corporate and nonprofit boards.
Most recently, Reid served as global head of business development for Surf Air Mobility. Previous roles include global head of transportation for AirBNB, president of Wisk Aero (formerly Zee Aero), senior aviation and aerospace advisor at Lek Consulting, founding member and limited partner of Thayer Ventures, president of Flexjet, founding CEO of Virgin America Inc., president and chief operating officer (COO) of Delta Airlines, and president and COO of Lufthansa German Airlines.
He is a graduate of UC Berkeley with additional education at Aix-Marseille University, Stanford and Harvard Business School.
