Bjoern Hartmann is a co-founder of the CITRIS Invention Lab. He is also an associate professor of electrical engineering and computer science at UC Berkeley. Hartmann received a B.A. in communication, B.S.E. in digital media design, and M.S.E. in computer and information science from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science from Stanford University in 2009. His research in human-computer interaction focuses on on the creation and evaluation of user interface design tools, end-user programming environments and ubiquitous computing tool kits.
