Amy Tong is secretary of the California Government Operations Agency and a member of the CITRIS and the Banatao Institute advisory board.
As state chief information officer and director of the California Department of Technology from 2016–20, Amy Tong was responsible for advising the governor on the strategic management of the state’s information technology resources. Tong has nearly 25 years of business, technology and management experience in the public sector. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in management information systems and a Master of Business Administration from California State University, Sacramento.
