Know an inspiring leader or organization supporting women and others who are underrepresented in tech? Nominate them for an EDGE in Tech Athena Award today!

The EDGE in Tech Athena Awards recognize those who embody, encourage and advance the inclusion and success of people who promote inclusive excellence in the science and tech sectors. Awardees inspire others to pursue technical careers through their outstanding contributions, mentorship and service.

To honor technological innovation and the commercialization of good ideas to promote positive impact, nominations are also encouraged to recognize those who exemplify or promote entrepreneurship for all, as founders, educators or investors.

Awards will be presented in five categories.

For individuals:

  • Executive Leadership
  • Academic Leadership
  • Early Career Leadership
  • Graduate Student Leadership

For organizations:

  • Next-generation Engagement

You may nominate any candidate, regardless of gender, age, institutional affiliation or country of residence. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. PT on Monday, March 24.

Winners will be recognized at a special event at CITRIS and the Banatao Institute in May, where they will receive $500 as well as a bespoke trophy.

The EDGE in Tech Athena Awards are made possible by Expanding Diversity and Gender Equity in Tech (EDGE in Tech) at the University of California, a program presented by CITRIS and Banatao Institute, as well as the generous support of former UC Berkeley Dean of Engineering Tsu-Jae King Liu

Read more about nomination criteria and previous winners on the EDGE in Tech website, and submit your nomination by March 24.
