Job opportunity: Corporate relations director

The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute (CITRIS) at the University of California seek a director of corporate relations to managing a prospect and donor portfolio in various stages of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship with industry prospects capable of making gifts of $100,000–$1 million. This position will be based at CITRIS’s headquarters at UC Berkeley.

Responsibilities include raising $3 million to $5 million annually from corporate partnerships, creating persuasive and compelling support solicitations for existing and emerging programming, providing personalized outreach and invitations to relevant events and experiences, and working with leadership across CITRIS’s four-campus ecosystem to identify opportunities for membership and research collaborations.

Required qualifications include seven to 10 years of high-level fundraising experience, experience in establishing strategies to identify and qualify corporate partners, experience in managing a portfolio of at least 30–50 donors and prospects, and proven project management skills.
