The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society and the Banatao Institute (CITRIS) at the University of California seek a director of communications to maintain a full-scale public relations program to include media and public relations, executive visibility, and strategic guidance for research initiatives, labs, programs and outreach. This position will be based at CITRIS’s headquarters at UC Berkeley.
Responsibilities include directing all aspects of communications across a variety of disciplines including content strategy, writing, editing, web design, graphic design, user experience, photography, videography, motion graphics, museum curation, event production and public relations.
Required qualifications include advanced knowledge and understanding of communications and technical applications and advanced knowledge of the organization, including its mission, vision, goals, policies and infrastructure.
