Abstract:
The UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center was formed five years ago to advance the commercialization of energy efficient technologies and to prepare the next generation of leaders in energy efficiency. California Public Utility Commission President Mike Peevey has called the UC Davis EEC “the country’s leading energy efficiency center.” Director Nicole Woolsey Biggart and Executive Director Ben Finkelor describe how the EEC was formed, how its five sub-centers work to overcome barriers to the development and dissemination of energy efficient technologies. and what its plans are for the future.
