Bold Bets: Tomorrow’s Industrial Entrepreneurship

Bold Bets - The Atlantic

For the third event in the Bold Bets series, The Atlantic will travel to the Bay Area to explore innovations in manufacturing and production.

Next-generation infrastructure will be driven by digitalization: big data, cloud services, mobile, and the Internet of Things. Across the manufacturing industry, the relationship between consumer-driven design and mass production is being reconceptualized. Cutting-edge startups are disrupting traditional business models, and large companies and startups alike are reaping benefits from powerful collaborative efforts. The Atlantic will convene a group of experts in the nation’s entrepreneurship capital to unpack the data-driven innovations transforming how goods and products are manufactured and delivered to the global marketplace.

Ken Goldberg, Director of the CITRIS People and Robots Initiative, will participate in the first panel, “Not Your Parent’s Factory: What Next-Gen Factories Will Look Like and Deliver”.
