We are pleased to announce the publication of 2013 CITRIS Impact Report!
This interactive online site allows users to explore and discover how CITRIS continues to foster innovation and enhance connections among academic researchers, industrial partners, government agencies, and social-benefit organizations throughout California and the world.
This new site highlights CITRIS’s contribution to the research profile of the University and to its overall financial health, as well as our impact on the California economy. CITRIS has spawned 35 start-up companies since it was established 12 years ago, and the annual investment of $4-5M from UCOP leverages $70-$80M in outside research funding. Researchers come from California and around the world to collaborate with our outstanding faculty and use our state-of-the-art facilities. We work to enhance the educational experience of students at all four campuses, offering both classroom and internship opportunities.
The four CITRIS initiatives aim to change the way people live for the better, improving health care and energy technologies, offering cities a better way to manage their infrastructure, and giving citizens new tools to interact with their governments and each other.
