UCB Graduate engineering students advance semifinal round business plan competition

A business plan centering around technology researched and developed by UC Berkeley Graduate engineering students Hyuck Choo and David Garmire has advanced to the semifinal round (Phase II) of the USF International Business Plan Competition and the UC Berkeley Business Plan Competition. Teaming with two MBA students, Quintin Smith and Eugene Kolovyansky, they are working on starting a new company to create light-weight, low-power, and high-resolution projectors from this technology. In the future, this technology could also be used to help advance laser-based eye-surgery, traffic safety, and telecommunication systems.
