CITRIS Foundry partners with LAUNCH Festival 2015, March 2-4

The CITRIS Foundry is excited to be a Media Partner of this year’s LAUNCH Festival, one of the largest startup and entrepreneurship events in the country. The festival is from March 2-4, 2015 at Fort Mason in San Francisco and is expected to attract more than 11,000 attendees, with 40 companies launching for the first time (1.0 Track) or launch new products (2.0 Track) and compete for titles like Best Design, Best Technology and Best Overall with 10,000+ attendees making it the largest live audience in technology. $250K will be available from the LAUNCH Fund.

LAUNCH Festival, hosted by angel investor, serial entrepreneur, “ANGEL” author, and podcaster, Jason Calacanis, is a celebration of entrepreneurship and innovation. The event is hosted in San Francisco, featuring fireside chats with Silicon Valley technologists and pioneers, demonstrations of cutting-edge future tech, and exciting startup competitions with founders and teams from all around the world.

The mission at LAUNCH is to support founders and inspire innovation. Since 2009 (the year founder Jason Calacanis started the conference in Silicon Valley), LAUNCH has had the great pleasure of providing value to the startups and founders that they’ve come across.

The value comes in many different forms, such as:

Funding: By hosting the conference, LAUNCH is able to meet the founders of many amazing startups that are often invited to their accelerator in San Francisco, and invest hundreds of thousands of dollars into them. To date, LAUNCH has invested in over 200 startups. Notable investments include Uber, Robinhood, Thumbtack, Desktop Metal, Wealthfront, DataStax, Calm, Tumblr, Trello.

Education: LAUNCH has been hosting a 2x weekly podcast called This Week In Startups with 60M+ downloads, and have brought on guests such as Ev Williams, Chris Sacca, Chamath Palihapitiya, Patty McCord, Brit Morin, Esther Dyson, David Sacks & many more notable founders and investors.
