Spotlight on CITRIS Invention Lab Superusers

CITRIS Invention Lab and Jacobs Institute Begin Support for COVID-19 Related Research

The first rapid fabrication and prototyping maker space on the UC Berkeley campus when it opened in 2012, the CITRIS Invention Lab provides a 1,700 square feet of workspace packed with 3D printers, a laser cutter, and smart tools for campus makers and designers.

Frequent lab users who know their way around the equipment may join a dedicated group of student volunteers known as “superusers,” who bring their prototyping expertise and enthusiasm for supporting others to make the lab more accessible and inclusive. CITRIS Invention Lab superusers and staff embody the welcoming community for which the Invention Lab is well-known.
