CITRIS Invention Lab - Meet Our Super Users

Spotlight on Superusers at the CITRIS Invention Lab

The first rapid fabrication and prototyping makerspace on the Berkeley campus when it opened in 2012, the CITRIS Invention Lab provides a 1,700 square feet of workspace packed with 3D printers, a laser cutter, and smart tools for campus makers and designers.

Frequent lab users who know their way around the equipment may join a dedicated group of student volunteers known as “superusers,” who bring their prototyping expertise and enthusiasm for supporting others to make the lab more accessible and inclusive. Lab staff and superusers embody the welcoming community for which the Invention Lab is well-known.
