Lt. Gov Gavin Newsom visits CITRIS headquarters on March 30

Gavin Newsom, (shown above, right, with Matthew Scullin (left), CITRIS Director Paul Wright, and Marvell Lab manager Bill Flounders) the Lieutenant Governor of California, visited the CITRIS Headquarters on March 30 as part of his state-wide listening tour about the state’s higher education system. During his visit, he met with CITRIS faculty and students who work on the energy and environment front to learn more about CITRIS’s impact on business. They engaged in a discussion of energy scavenging and specific technologies that apply to demand response.

As part of his duties, Lt. Gov. Newsom is a voting member of both the UC Board of Regents and the Board of Trustees of the California State University system.
