CITRIS at UC Merced is seeking a full-time academic coordinator to support its growing portfolio of research-related education and outreach programs. The outreach and education coordinator will design, implement and coordinate CITRIS research activities, interfacing with educational partners and groups and managing a team of student staff.
Duties include:
- Planning, coordinating and participating in campus-wide outreach projects and activities
- Coordinating, communicating and scheduling CITRIS educational and outreach programming throughout the region, including travel logistics
- Creating and disseminating handouts, maps, illustrations, presentations, videos and other products to translate research findings
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and three years of related experience (M.S. or Ph.D. preferred), a passion for sharing innovative technology with novice and intermediate tech users, experience in formal or informal education settings, and an ability to travel several days a month.
