Free and open to the public. This online symposium is presented by the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) and the Banatao Institute’s People and Robots Initiative (CPAR), SRI International, and Silicon Valley Robotics.

Open Problems for Robots in Surgery and Healthcare

The COVID-19 pandemic is increasing the global demand for robots that can assist in surgery and healthcare. This 4-hour symposium focuses on recent advances and open problems in robot-assisted telesurgery and telemedicine and the need for new research and development. The zoom format will encourage active dialogue among faculty, students, professionals, and entrepreneurs.
