Congressman Mike Honda recently toured the new CITRIS Headquarters in Sutardja Dai Hall. For the past eight years Congressman Honda has been representing the Fifteenth Congressional District, which encompasses much of San Jose and the Silicon Valley. Having been heavily involved with San Jose politics over the past 38 years, Honda is very aware of the economic and societal benefits of the high tech industry. In fact, even his own son is an aerospace engineer.
Congressman Honda has visited CITRIS before and makes regular visits to keep abreast of our research. During his visit Director Paul Wright provided a personal tour of the new CITRIS Museum, which includes many exhibits, such as energy efficiency technologies developed at CITRIS, smart technologies in infrastructure and health care, and technologies to reduce traffic and increase fuel efficiency.
