CITRIS Research Wins Award

Each year CENIC seeks to discover and recognize exemplary innovations that leverage the California Research and Education Network (CalREN) and which have the potential to improve the way instruction and research is conducted. Awards are annually presented in the following four categories: Education Applications, High Performance Research Applications, Experimental/Developmental Applications, and Gigabit/Broadband Applications.

This year former CITRIS Director Ruzena Bajcsy won the CENIC 2011 Innovations in Networking Award for High Performance Research Applications for the project “Tele-Immersion for Physicians” which was done in collaboration with UC Davis. It will be presented at the 15th annual CENIC Conference in March.
