Interested in the tech industry, entrepreneurship, and making tech inclusive for women and underrepresented groups in tech? Join BeVisible, FEM Tech Berkeley, and CITRIS for an amazing event, showcasing leading Latina entrepreneurs in the tech industry!

Our speakers will tell their stories about their journeys in the booming technology industry. Our goal with this event is to create an environment that empowers women and other underrepresented groups in tech to explore the possibilities for themselves in the tech industry and build a supportive community.

This event is open to everyone, especially those from underrepresented groups in tech.

Speaker Bios

Adriana Gascoigne

Adriana is the Founder and CEO of Girls in Tech, a non-profit organization, launched in February 2007 devoted to empower, educate, and mentor women in the tech industry across over 52 chapters internationally. Adriana holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Economics from the University of California at Davis, received a certification from El Tecnologico de Monterrey in Aguascalientes, Mexico. Adriana is also fluent in Spanish.

Georgina Miranda

Georgina is an accomplished business woman and mountaineer, and founder of Altitude Seven, a digital media company that inspires and equips the adventure life to a global community of outdoor and adventure travel enthusiasts through content, commerce, community, and purpose. She received a Master of Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the University of San Diego.

Rubi Sanchez

Founder and CEO Cocoon Cam

Rubi has a background in health care, where she’s led multidisciplinary teams to execute information technology, strategy, operations, and marketing initiatives in high volume healthcare organizations such as SFDPH, SFCCC, and NEMS in San Francisco. She is passionate about building innovative technologies that bridge gaps for end users. On her free time Rubi loves to play sports and nerd out with a book.
