The AI Policy Hub, launched in March by CITRIS and the Banatao Institute and UC Berkeley’s Center for Long-Term Cybersecurity, has welcomed its first cohort of six researchers.

These UC Berkeley graduate students will research and develop policy recommendations surrounding a specialized topic related to artificial intelligence (AI). The cohort includes doctoral students Alexander Asemota, Micah Carroll, Angela Jin, Zoe Kahn, and Cedric Whitney, and master’s student Zhouyan Lin.

“The graduate students represent a diversity of backgrounds and disciplinary expertise,” said CITRIS Policy Lab Director Brandie Nonnecke. “They will play a crucial role in the AI Policy Hub’s goal of generating interdisciplinary, research-based approaches to advancing responsible AI policy.”
