Dex-Net is the most dexterous robot ever created

MIT Technology Review, March 28, 2018 – At first glance, being able to gently pick up a banana might not seem like a landmark robotics event. Dex-Net, a software program that helps robots efficiently determine how to pick up all kinds of objects, was developed by CITRIS People and Robots Director Ken Goldberg along with graduate student Jeff Mahler. This MIT Technology Review article highlights Goldberg’s research and anticipates how this breakthrough will revolutionize warehouse jobs.
