The UC Berkeley Technology Breakthrough Competition provides an intimate look at the University's most promising and commercializable research into technologies with the greatest potential to improve the world within the next five years.

The UC Berkeley Technology Breakthrough Competition on Wednesday, November 15 provides an intimate look at the University's most promising and commercializable research into technologies with the greatest potential to improve the world within the next five years.

The event kicks off with UC Berkeley College of Engineering Dean Richard Newton sitting down with Steve Domenik of Sevin Rosen Funds and Lip-Bu Tan of Walden International to speak about the challenges facing Silicon Valley in the context of the global economy. A poster session/reception will next, followed by the Technology Breakthrough Winners Award Ceremony and Presentation of $25,000 in prizes.
