Dr. Hugh Aldridge

Biography

Hugh Aldridge has over 20 years of experience in research, strategic planning, development and consulting in academia, government and industry. Hugh is the Director of Development and Communications at CITRIS (Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society) and is based at the Banatoa Institute @ CITRIS Berkeley. Before joining CITRIS, Hugh was Director of Business Relations at the University of Manchester in the UK, where he led a team of 20 professionals responsible for developing and managing the University's portfolio of corporate partners. His previous positions include being the Director of the Research and Enterprise Partnership between Aberystwyth and Bangor Universities in Wales, the Director for Industry at the Cambridge-MIT Institute, Associate Director for Corporate Relations at the University of Cambridge and University Relations Manager for Hewlett Packard's laboratories in the UK. Hugh received a BSc in Biology from the University of Birmingham, UK and a PhD from the University of Bristol, UK.
