Kurt D. Bettenhausen joins CITRIS Advisory Board

CITRIS is honored to welcome Kurt D. Bettenhausen to our Advisory Board.

Kurt D. Bettenhausen is Senior Vice President and the global Automation & Control Technology Field Leader of Siemens Corporate Technology.

Before joining Corporate Technology, Dr. Bettenhausen headed up the Engineering and Consulting Business of Siemens’ Industrial Automation Division based in Frankfurt, Germany. He began his career in the research and technology department of Hoechst. Later, he held senior positions in marketing, sales and product management at Axiva.

Dr. Bettenhausen is a member of the advisory board at the University of California-Berkeley’s College of Engineering, a board member of the Research & Development Council of New Jersey and is Chairman of the Association of German Engineers’ Measurement and Automation Technology Organization, VDI/VDE-GMA.

Bettenhausen attained a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Darmstadt University of Technology.
