Job Summary

Seeking a highly energetic, creative, and outgoing Postdoc with expertise in robotics to play an active role in the CITRIS People and Robots Initiative. This multidisciplinary research initiative is based at UC Berkeley and includes 80 faculty and industry sponsors at four UC campuses (Berkeley, Davis, Merced, and Santa Cruz) to catalyze cutting-edge research in Robot Learning, Human-Robot Interaction, Deep Learning, Bio-Inspired Design, and Cloud Robotics:

The Postdoc will work with Faculty Director Ken Goldberg, affiliated faculty members, and graduate students on research (50% effort) and the other 50% as a Research Coordinator, working with Ken and CITRIS Deputy Director Camille Crittenden on strategy, outreach, and coordinating weekly research seminars and events, summarizing research, identifying opportunities for collaboration, and extending public awareness via websites, flyers, and social media. Applicants should have a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and have research experience in Robotics and enthusiasm for outreach, academic event planning, and outreach/social media.
