The user has the choice of post-peak emissions curves, ranging from a slow start to a quick start.  The equation is defined as follows:

 

 

Emissions (t) = Emissions (peak) + (S*((t-peakyr)*T)^R)/1000, where

 

t =the year,

 

S = 1 if the stabilization value is above the peak value (rising curve), = -1 otherwise,

 

T = a user-defined level ranging from 1 to 1e7 (low numbers correspond to a slow start, high to a quick start)

 

R = LN(ABS(Emissions (peak) – Emissions (stabilization))*1000)/LN((stab yr – peak yr)*T)
